Radio silence has not meant a lack of progress. Despite the restrictions in place across the country, many firms are finding ways to carry on working and those producing parts for the County are no exception.
Firstly the connecting rods have been machined and very nice they look too (interesting post machining patterns showing up in the workshop lights!).
Secondly, HBSS are continuing great guns on the boiler with the firebox and barrel now being attached. The holes in the barrel are being drilled using the throatplate as the template and soon it will be time for them to be rivetted together.
It is exciting to see such obvious progress with the project and we hope to show you more as HBSS carries on the work
