Great to see that at the end of last week the smokebox was delivered to Didcot. This is a massive step forward in being able to visualise what the loco will look like once it is mounted on the frames which should happen shortly.
Additionally our good friend, Mike Cranswick, of 81E Reproductions donated a shedplate to the project.
Just measured the 8 and the 1 on the shed plate and they are the same size. Just for your info.
Not wanting to be piccy, but doesn't the number 1 on shed plate look a tad long. Just saying.
